Week of May 7th

This week our theme continued to be ‘Oceans’.  We made a scuba diver and jellyfish.  We practiced placing the numbers 1-10 in numerical order and took time to make a little something special for our moms on Mother’s day!

Next week our theme will be the ‘Farm’.  We will be tearing paper to make a cow, using beans to make a barn and drawing pictures to create My Silly Animal Book.  On Wednesday & Thursday we will be taking a field trip to the farm.  We will split into smaller groups and tour the farm with high school FFA students who will teach us all about the life of a farmer!  Please remember to wear old clothes and dress for the weather, as we will be outside for most of the morning.

Ocean Week

This week our theme was ‘Oceans’.  We made a starfish, ocean photo album, giant fish book and a classroom book about our favorite ocean animal.  We continued to work on fine motor skills as the children used beads to create their very own bracelet.  We also reviewed letters and numbers.

Next week our theme will be ‘Oceans & Mother’s Day’.  We will make a scuba diver & jellyfish.  We will continue to work at finishing up our testing before the end of the school year.  On Monday & Tuesday the Taylor County Health Dept will finish our final round of fluoride varnishes.  We will also spend some time talking about what makes our mom’s so great!
