Ocean

This week our theme was “Oceans”.  We will make a scuba diver & jellyfish.  We continued to work on placing the numbers 1-10 in order, rhyming, colors & shapes.  We will continue to work at finishing up our testing before the end of the school year.

Next week our theme will continue to be “Oceans”.  We will make a starfish, ocean photo album, giant fish book and a classroom book about our favorite ocean animal.  We continued to work on fine motor skills as the children used beads to create their very own bracelet.  The children will also have a substitute teacher in the classroom on Wednesday & Thursday as I will be proctoring the PALS test to each student.

Spring & Easter (Week 2)

 Happy Easter!

This week our theme was ‘Spring & Easter’. The children made bunny headbands, a chick hatching from an egg and journaled about their Easter basket.  We practiced placing the numbers 1-10 in order and learned about the letter Ee.  On Wednesday & Thursday the students enjoyed an egg hunt so be sure to ask them what they found!

Next week our theme will be ‘Oceans’.  There is no school for students on Monday.  We will make a scuba diver, submarine porthole and a jellyfish.  We will continue to practice placing the numbers 1-10 in numerical order and will review shapes, colors, patterns & rhyming.

  Reminders & Updates:

*Spring Picture Day: Wed., April 23rd (if your child does not

*Your child will complete the spring session of PALS testing on either Wednesday, April 30th or Thursday, May 1st.  This state testing will show me the growth and progress your child has made throughout the school year in the area of literacy.  Please make every effort to have your child here so that the testing can be completed.
