Spring & Easter


This week our theme was ‘Spring & Easter’. The children made bunny headbands, spring flowers, a chick hatching from an egg and a classroom book about their Easter basket.  We practiced placing the numbers 1-10 in order and reviewed the numbers 5 & 6.  Our letter for the week was Ee.


Next week our theme will be ‘Seeds & Flowers’.  The children will be making tissue paper flowers and learning how plants grow.  We will also use finger paint to create spring flowers and journal about flowers in our April journal.  During this short week we will also review the number 7.

*Inservice: (No School) Tuesday, April 2nd.
*Week of the Young Child: April 15th-20th (Refer to the list of activities sent home earlier this week).
*Spring Picture Day: Wed., April 24th, children not
attending school on Wednesday can be brought in to have their pictures taken.
*Bedding: Please remember to wash and return your child’s pillow and blanket.
*Birthday Treats: Just a reminder, your child is welcome to bring treats on their birthday but they do need to be store bought/prepackaged to ensure the children’s safety.  Thank you!

Spring & Easter


This week our theme was ‘Spring & Easter’.  The children made chick windsocks, pussy willow vases & used watercolor paint to make an Easter egg.  Due to the weather on Tuesday we had a snow day.  Our letter for the week was Bb and we reviewed the numbers 3 & 4.
Next week our theme will continue to be ‘Spring & Easter’.  The children will be making bunny headbands, spring flowers, a chick hatching from an egg and a classroom book about their Easter baskets.  We will practice placing the numbers in order 1-10 and will review the numbers 5 & 6.  Our letter for the week will be Ee.

*As spring weather approaches (hopefully) please keep an eye on the weather each day and be sure that your child is dressed appropriately.  We will continue to have recess outside even as the snow begins to melt.

Saint Partick's Day


This week our theme was ‘St. Patrick’s Day’.  The children made leprechauns, pots of gold & rainbows.  We also worked on number identification, same vs. different, rhyming and name printing.  Our letter for the week was Qq and we reviewed the numbers 1 & 2.

Next week our theme will be the ‘Spring & Easter’.  The children will be making chick windsocks, pussy willow vases & using watercolor paint to make an Easter egg.  We will continue to work on shapes, rhyming, matching and identifying the letters in our names.  Our letter for the week will be Bb and we will review the numbers 3 & 4.

Pre-Kindergarten Registration for Medford Area Public Schools
Parents will be able to register their child for Pre-Kindergarten in 13-14.  Child must be 4 years of age by September 1, 2013.  Parents and children will be about to meet our pre-kindergarten teachers and tour the classrooms.

Nighttime

This week our theme was ‘Nighttime’.  We learned about outer space and things that we do or see at night.  The children made a rocket, an owl and a classroom book about nighttime activities.  On Wednesday & Thursday we had pajama day and pretended to have a sleepover with our friends!  Our letter for the week was Kk.
